What can the Power Probe 3 do?

With the press of a switch, you'll have an instant hot lead or ground lead. Use the probe tip and ground lead simultaneously to power up components right in your hand. Instantly check components for continuity as well as identify positive, negative, and open circuits without re-polarizing hook-up clips. You can even locate shorts without wasting fuses.

The Power Probe 3 is a Voltmeter and Continuity Tester, with Audible & Visual indicators along with two LED headlights to light up your work area. This circuit tester also supplies Battery Voltage or Ground to activate components. The sleek housing feels great in your hand, making it the perfect time-saver tool for every level of technician.

To use the Power Probe 3 in Power Probe Mode: 1. Connect the Power Probe 3 to a good battery. 2. Clip the auxiliary ground clip to the trailer ground. 3. Probe the contacts at the jack and then apply voltage to them. This lets you check the function and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that contact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down (15 sec.) and depressing the reset button until it clicks into place.
