The Power Probe 3 utilizes a 20ft cable that attaches to the vehicle's battery, allowing the user to perform electrical tests anywhere in or around the vehicle. It functions as a Voltmeter and Continuity Tester, with Audible & Visual indicators along with two LED headlights to illuminate the work area. This circuit tester can also supply Battery Voltage or Ground to activate components.

When the PP3 is in Power Probe Mode, contacting the probe tip to a NEGATIVE circuit will light the green "-" LED and produce a low-pitched tone. Contacting the probe tip to a POSITIVE circuit will light the red "+" LED and display the voltage reading on the LCD.

To use the PP3: 1. Connect the tool to a good battery. 2. Clip the auxiliary ground clip to the trailer ground. 3. Probe the contacts at the jack and apply voltage to check the function and orientation of the connector and trailer lights. If the circuit breaker tripped, that contact is likely a ground. Reset the circuit breaker by letting it cool down and depressing the reset button.
